Asuka Tennoji’s life looks normal on the outside. Living in Kobe, Japan, the hardest thing he has to deal with is balancing school with working at a restaurant and taking care of his sick mother. With such a peaceful life, it’s easy to forget that outside of Kobe, portals to another world have swallowed up major cities and plunged most of Earth into chaos! Called “Black Points,” these portals allow beings of immense power, referred to as “Zillions of Enemy X” or Z/X, to invade Earth. The Z/X use Earth as a battleground to wage a war between each of their worlds- -White, Red, Green, Blue, and Black--where it isn’t just survival at stake, but their world’s very existence!

Earth, too, finds itself caught in this struggle, and the only weapon they have to defend themselves is the Card Device: a technology that allows humanity to fight fire with fire by allowing them to capture and control Z/X! With Kobe being one of the last places on Earth where you could forget the conflict with the Z/X, Asuka thought he was safe. But his peaceful life turns upside down when he meets a mysterious girl called the Dragon’s Priestess, who claims she has chosen him, and grants him a Card Device!
