Little Busters! Anime's New Promo Streamed for October Debut

The official website for the anime adaptation of Key's Little Busters! visual novel opened on Sunday with a new promotional movie:

The website and the 100-second promotional movie confirmed the October premiere of the anime. Voice actress Tomoe Tamiyasu had briefly reposted her Anime Expo guest profile in her blog in June, and the profile had listed a Fall premiere date for the Little Busters! anime. She then deleted the date from her blog, although the Fall premiere date still remained on Anime Expo's website.

Yoshiki Yamakawa (Baby, Please Kill Me!, Hatsukoi Limited) is directing the anime at the studio J.C. Staff. Michiru Shimada (Jewelpet Twinkle, Shugo Chara!) is in charge of the series scripts, and Haruko Iizuka (Inu X Boku Secret Service, Ōkami-san & Her Seven Companions) is adapting Itaru Hinoue and Na-Ga's original character designs for anime.

The original game's cast members are reprising their roles for the anime, although Yui Horie and Sora Tokui join the cast as the player's character Riki Naoe and the recast role of Sasami Sasasegawa, respectively. Tamiyasu (Recorder and Randsell) will voice the heroine Rin Natsume, and Hikaru Midorikawa (Fate/Zero, Brave10) will play her older brother and the Little Busters group leader Kyousuke Natsume.

The main cast will also include:

• Shiho Kawaragi as Mio Nishizono

Key, an adult game brand of Visual Art's, released the original romance adventure game for personal computers in 2007, and the game has since been ported to the PlayStation 2 and PSP platforms. The Japanese software company Prototype just released the PS Vita version (pictured right) on March 22.
