Assassination Classroom, The Wind Rises, Splatoon Top Japan's 2015 1st Half Most Googled

With the first half of 2015 having gone by on June 23, there's bound to be plenty of search-worthy topics that have piled up over the past few months. Google announced a comprehensive list of its top 10 most searched words since January 1 on Monday.
Two anime and a video game have made the list. Assassination Classroom ranked #2 overall. The comedy-action anime follows a class trying to kill their octopus-looking teacher before he destroys the Earth. What with a live-action adaptation having come out in March and a second anime season being announced for 2016, Japan is likely to be Googling for news and updates like crazy.
The #4 searched term was Hayao Miyazaki's final picture at Studio Ghibli, The Wind Rises. The film aired on television in Japan in February and garnered a 19.5% rating.
The Nintendo fun-filled FPS Splatoon also made the list at #7. Reaching out to all ages with fun, accessible gameplay and a friendly, humorous environment, it's no wonder Japan seems to have it auto-saved on their search bars.
The #1 Google search in Japan is the Lassun Gorerai comedy routine from the comedy duo 8.6 Second Bazooka.
