Is the order a rabbit? Girls Appear in French Town That Inspired Anime's Setting
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Twitter user Nobel Choco created an augmented reality (AR) plugin that allowed him to take Is the order a rabbit? characters Chino and Cocoa to the real-life town that inspired the anime's setting. He posted a video on Monday that shows the girls in Colmar, France, a town in the European country's northeastern region.

Nobel Choco used the Custom Maid 3D 2 software to create the characters. In the ending animation for the anime's second season, the Chimame-tai character trio sings and dances on a bridge with the Colmar-like town in the background. He wanted to recreate that scene.
The twitter user also uploaded a test video on Saturday that features a different character.

Similar technology seems to be undergoing a surge in popularity, with apps like Pokémon Go utilitzing AR features. People hungry for an experience with anthropomorphic ramen got to eat Cup Noodles with girls through an AR campaign on September 20. Toei Animation is jumping on the AR bandwagon with its upcoming "unprecedented fusion of games and anime" Augmented Reality Girls Trinary (Kakuchō Shōjo-Kei Trinary) app. Attack on Titan fan KamoC also created the Colossal Titan using AR technology last year.
