Yui no Shinobi Ninja Riceball Guys Get Manga

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The upcoming card-based smartphone game Yui no Shinobi reimagines popular rice ball flavors as attractive ninja fighting to reclaim their land and serve their lord. Visualworks has revealed more than 12 characters and sub-characters so far, and is now adding a prologue manga to its promotion plans.

The manga launched on Tuesday with the first two pages and will continue to update on the website every Tuesday.

The game also announced some of its voice cast on Friday.

Toshiki Masuda as Ryūō Shirasu (young sardines)

Takuya Eguchi as Kara'aki Suketara (marinated pollock roe)

Yui no Shinobi is expected to be released in early spring. The mobile game will feature the theme song "Gekkabijin" by the group Kiryu.

The anthropomorphisized game is just the latest to get its own manga tie-in. Cocktail Prince, a multimedia franchise about cocktails reimagined as attractive bartenders will get a manga version, which will debut on December 22 in the February issue of Monthly Sylph. TMS Entertainment's line of bishōnen bathing products also received a manga adaptation by Anna Takamura in Kadokawa's B's-LOG COMIC magazine last month.
