Girl Band Perfume Gets Mini-Manga, Artwork in September

Japanese girl band Perfume are getting a feature in this year's 40th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits when it is released in September. The issue will feature the band on the cover, while inside the "Perfume: Total Power Feature -Past, Present, Future-" includes artwork of the band drawn by seven different manga artists, a look back at their performance costumes, and gravure photos.
Participating manga artists include Ushio & Tora's Kazuhiro Fujita and Ushijima the Loan Shark's Shohei Manabe. Kaoru Curry-zawa (Kremlin) will draw the short "Perfume: Seichi Junrei" manga as well.
Perfume's newest single "If you wanna" will be released on August 30. The band performed the theme song "FLASH" for the Chihayafuru: Kami no Ku and Chihayafuru: Shimo no Ku live-action films last year.
