Bungo Stray Dogs Collaborates With Iwate Prefecture's Kenji Miyazawa Fairytale Village

Pure and strong, Bungo Stray Dog's version of poet Kenji Miyazawa depicts him as a trusting farm boy able to harness superhuman strength. The real Miyazawa wasn't superhuman but the Iwate prefecture native cemented his reputation in literature by crafting timeless children's literature like Night on the Galactic Railroad and Gauche the Cellist. He also loved his hometown and founded the Rasu Farmers Association to benefit local farmers.
The city of Hanamaki in Iwate is home to the Kenji Miyazawa Fairytale Village learning facility that creates a playful world based on Miyazawa's works. For a limited time, fans of Bungo Stray Dogs can find an exhibition dedicated to the character from the series at the Kenji Miyazawa Fairytale Village.
The exhibition opens on August 1 and will run until September 1. Life-size cut-outs will be on site beside both comic panels and anime materials. Attendees will be able to purchase clear files of Kenji Miyazawa and Osamu Dazai together for a limited time.
Bungo Stray Dogs has previously collaborated with the Natsume Soseki Memorial Museum and Shinjuku Historical Museum in Shinjuku and the Kochi Literary Museum in Marunouchi.
