Magical girl film trades places with #6's Crows Zero school brawl film

Yes! Precure 5: Kagami no Kuni no Miracle Daibōken!, the anime movie spinoff from the Yes! Precure 5 magical girl television series, inched one spot to #5 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's top ten chart for the Japanese box office in the November 17–18 weekend. It took in the equivalent of US$1,183,611 (Box Office Mojo) in its second weekend to add to its US$3,306,717 in gross earnings to date.

Precure 5 traded places with #6's Crows Zero on Kogyo Tsushinsha's chart, but the Box Office Mojo website actually tallied more earnings for Takashi Miike's prequel to Yukihiko Tsutsumi's Crows school brawl manga. Crows Zero earned US$1,397,824 in its fourth weekend and now has a total of US$16,636,213.

Always Zoku San-chōme no Yūhi (Always: Sunset on Third Street 2), Takashi Yamazaki's adaptation of Ryōhei Saigan's nostalgic Sanchoume no Yuuhi - Yuuyake no Uta manga about life after World War II, stayed at #2 for its third weekend since it opened. It added US$2,629,693 to its running total of US$19,710,458.
