Lucky Star's Yoshimizu to Launch New Manga in April

posted on by Egan Loo

The May issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Comp Ace magazine announced on Thursday that Lucky Star creator Kagami Yoshimizu will launch a new manga series in the next issue on April 25. In the same issue next month, Hiroshi Hiroyama will start the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya Zwei! follow-up to his Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya version of Type-Moon's Fate/stay night visual novel. Kagekyū will also draw a Basquash! Eclipse Stage spinoff based on the upcoming Basquash! anime series from Shōji Kawamori, Thomas Romain, and the Satelight studio. (Tetsuya Hayasi has been drawing another Basquash! manga in Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine since January.) Finally, Araiguma and RED FLAGSHIP will adapt Sanctuary and Circus' D.C. Girl's Symphony romance simulation game.

A flyer already announced that even more new manga will launch in Comp Ace in May or later, including Shin Strike Witches (New Strike Witches, tentative title), CANAAN, Shin Koihime Musō (True Koihime†Musō), G-Senjō no Maō (The Devil on G-string), Summer Wars Gaiden (Summer Wars Side Story, tentative title), Angel Magister, and Valkyrie Complex.

Bandai Entertainment is releasing both the original Lucky Star manga and its anime adaptation in North America. Tokyopop will publish the third volume of Datto Nishiwaki's Fate/stay night manga series next month.
