Manga Creator Shintaro Miyawaki Passes Away at 67

The manga creator Shintaro Miyawaki passed away due to a heart attack on October 9 at 9:33 p.m. in Niiza, Saitama. He was 67.
Miyawaki was born in Hyogo Prefecture. His works included the Heart Collection gekiga (alternative manga) series, Hatsukoi Album, and pai no Oto Stories. He also penned The Rapeman adult manga which inspired a live-action video series and The Rapeman Anime Version.
A service will be held on Thursday morning in Niiza. Miyawaki leaves behind his wife Kumiko.
