Pleiades, St. Seiya, Air Gear, Black Lagoon Promos Streamed

The car maker Subaru and the anime studio Gainax have posted the second 51-second teaser trailer for their Hōkago no Pleiades (Afterschool Pleiades) original net anime on Tuesday. The Pleiades is the English name for the star cluster that the Japanese call "Subaru" — the origin of the car maker's name and six-star logo. The original story's staff includes director Shouji Saeki (Mahoromatic: Tadaima Okaeri, Strike Witches 2 episode storyboarder), concept artist and original character designer Daisuke Kikuchi (Gurren Lagann, Mahoromatic: Tadaima Okaeri), and character designer Mai Otsuka (Shakugan no Shana, Hanamaru Kindergarten). Also involved are art director Hiroshi Katō (Evangelion Shin Gekijōban: Jo/Ha, Gunbuster 2), director of photography Toyonori Yamada (Gurren Lagann, Hanamaru Kindergarten), and color key artist Chie Yoshimura (Chou Gekijouban Keroro Gunsō, The Big O). The anime project "drops this winter."
The production company TMS Entertainment has begun streaming an 81-second promotional video for the second video anime season based on Masami Kurumada and Shiori Teshirogi's Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa manga. The website already began streaming the opening animation footage last month. The mythical action manga's story is set in the middle of the 18th century, 243 years before the first Saint Seiya storyline. Artist Teshirogi focuses The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa on the friendship of Tenma and Alone — the previous incarnations of the characters Pegasus Seiya and Hades who would become mortal enemies in the original Saint Seiya. The first volume of the second season will ship on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in Japan on February 23, 2011.
The official website for the Air Gear: Kuro no Hane to Nemuri no Mori -Break on the Sky- (Air Gear: The Black Wings and the Sleeping Forest -Break on the Sky-) original anime DVDs began streaming a 109-second promotional video for the second DVD. The limited edition of Oh! great's 31st Air Gear manga volume will ship with the second DVD on March 17, 2011. The DVD will feature the "legendary" battle between the Kogarasumaru team and the first Sleeping Forest team from the 24th and 25th manga volumes.
The official website of the Black Lagoon anime franchise has begun streaming a promotional movie for the third volume of the Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail original video anime series. (In the linked page, close the advertisement for the home video release and select the "Story & PV" button in the top righthand corner.) Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail is the third anime "season" after the first two aired on Japanese television. The third volume of the video series will ship in Japan on January 7, 2011.
The Japanese publisher Enterbrain is streaming three live-action promotional videos for the Flash anime DVD based on the online four-panel manga Spelunker Sensei. The manga itself is based on Irem Software Engineering's Spelunker action game franchise. Tomokazu Sugita stars as the title character, the world's most reckless explorer who becomes a high school teacher. The 30-minute anime will ship on March 16, 2011.
