Yoru no Chara Studio to air 4 nights a week with fan input via Facebook, Twitter

The Japanese broadcaster Tokai TV announced in a Wednesday press conference that it is collaborating with the animation studio DLE Inc., the media distributor King Records, and the character goods maker MOVIC on a character project that includes a television anime. The Flash-animated project, tentatively titled Yoru no Chara Studio (Evening Character Studio), will air every Monday through Thursday at 12:35 a.m. starting this May. As Tokai TV's "first program that is completely networked with social media," the anime will develop over time based on feedback that the staff receives from fans via Facebook, Twitter, and other means of communications.

The concept of the anime will revolve around the "cynical" conversations between friends who grew up in the same middle school and whose outlook on life are the "same, yet different." Taketo Shinkai is writing the anime, and Jun Oson is animating. Tokai intends to make revenue from the project through advertising tie-ins, DVDs, video and music streaming, character goods, games, and other forms of merchandising.

DLE had previously worked on the Flash-animated television anime Haiyoru! Nyaruani: Remember My Mr. Lovecraft and MonHun Nikki Girigiri Airū-mura Airū Kiki Ippatsu. It is also producing the upcoming Flash television anime Hato no Oyomesan, Pū-Neko, Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan, and Weekly Shimakō.
