October 13-16 convention to show world premiere of 2nd Guilty Crown episode; U.S. premiere of Fate/Zero

The organizers of New York Anime Festival (NYAF) will screen the U.S. premieres of Guilty Crown and Fate/Zero during the October 13-16 event at New York Comic Con in New York City.

NYAF will screen the first two episodes of Tetsuro Araki (Death Note, Highschool of the Dead) and Production I.G's Guilty Crown television anime series on Saturday, October 15. The screening marks the U.S. premiere of the series' first episode and the world premiere of the series' second episode, which won't air in Japan until October 20. Guilty Crown will air from October to March in Fuji TV's late-night Noitamina programming block.

The series script supervisor is Hiroyuki Yoshino (Macross Frontier, My-HiME), while redjuice, the artist best known as the illustrator of the music group supercell, is working on the original character designs. The group supercell's leader Ryo himself is composing the music.

The convention will host an additional screening of the first two episodes of Guilty Crown along with a Q&A/focus panel on Sunday, October 16.

Aniplex of America will screen the U.S. premiere of the first two episodes of the Fate/Zero television anime series at the convention on October 15.

The anime adapts the prequel novel by Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Phantom - The Animation, Blassreiter) to Type-Moon's Fate/stay night visual novel software. The story is set a decade before Fate/stay night and reveals the 4th Holy Grail War that sets the stage for the war in the software. Director Ei Aoki (Hourou Musuko, Ga-Rei: Zero, Girls Bravo), the anime studio ufotable, and composer Yuki Kajiura (Madoka Magica, .hack, Kara no Kyoukai) are all involved in this anime, which will premiere this October.

This year's New York Anime Festival will host CEO of Crypton Future Media Hiroyuki Itōh, Chief Executive Editor of Weekly ASCII Toshihiro Fukuoka, Hatsune Miku dance video creator Masataka P, writer Dai Sato, Tekken project director Katsuhiro Harada, director Makoto Shinkai, voice actress Junko Takeuchi, manga author Hiro Mashima, producer Hideo Katsumata, Aniplex president Kōichirō Natsume, and producer Masayuki Ozaki.
