Blade Anime's English-Dubbed Clip Streamed by Marvel

posted on by Egan Loo
Comic-based action series to premiere with Harold Perrineau on Friday in U.S.

The comic company Marvel began streaming a one-minute English-dubbed clip for the Blade television anime on Monday.

G4 will premiere Blade this Friday. Marvel announced at the New York Comic Con in October that Harold Perrineau will play the title character.

The story revolves around Blade, a "Daywalker" vampire hunter who was born with vampire and human blood after a vampire attacked his mother. While visiting Japan on a mission, Blade tracks down Deacon Frost, the vampire who killed his mother. Blade confronts "Existence," a mysterious organization composed of vampires modified by Frost.

The 12-episode Blade series aired on Japanese television from July 1 to September 16 of last year. Directed by Mitsuyuki Masuhara, the anime is one installment of a four-part collaboration between Marvel Comics and Madhouse Studios, which also includes the Iron Man, Wolverine, and X-Men Anime series. G4 already ran Marvel's Iron Man and Wolverine Anime last summer and the channel ran the X-Men Anime last fall.
