Kaze confirms it has computer-animated film from director of Negadon: The Monster from Mars.

Update - Kaze has confirmed to ANN that it will release Planzet.

The website UK Anime Network reports that the website of the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) is listing the computer-animated film Planzet. According to the BBFC page, the film was passed uncut with a 12 rating and a 50-minute running time. The distributor is given as "Kase SAS" (sic).

Planzet is directed by Jun Awazu, who previously made the CGI featurette Negadon: The Monster from Mars. The Planzet film is set in 2053, when humans are battling for survival against aliens. CoMix Wave produced both Negadon and Planzet as well as the works of Makoto Shinkai. Planzet originally opened in Japan in May 2010.

Kaze is releasing the film in France on DVD/Blu-ray on May 16, in a package which also includes Negadon.
