The official website for the Code:Breaker "dark hero" television anime began streaming three new promotional video between August 22 and this past Friday. The original manga by Akimine Kamijyō (Samurai Deeper Kyo) follows a group of vigilantes with special powers to wipe out corruption.

PV:03 "Sakura" centers around the female co-lead Sakura Sakurakōji (as voiced by Yōko Hikasa), while the bonus PV:ex "Sonzai Shinai Mono" (The Non-Existent Ones) features all six super-powered Code:Breakers and their Eden controllers.

PV:04 "Aku ni wa Ikari no Sōsōkyoku o" (The Requiem of Fury for Evil) debuted on Friday with a focus on the Code:Breaker Yūki Tenpōin/Code:03 (Toshiyuki Toyonaga):

The first two promotional videos earlier this summer revolved around the main character Rei Ōgami/Code:06 (Nobuhiko Okamoto) and fellow Code:Breaker Toki/Code:04 (Kenichi Suzumura).

This anime series is slated to premiere in Japan on October 6. Yasuhiro Irie (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Kurau: Phantom Memory) is directing the series at the studio Kinema Citrus. Yukie Akiya serves as the character designer and chief animation director, and Masayuki Sakoi serves as the assistant director.

The remaining main cast includes Subaru Kimura (Mawaru Penguindrum's Kanba) as Masaomi Heike, Mitsuki Saiga (.hack's Tsukasa) as Rui Hachiōji, and Shinichirō Miki (Bleach's Kisuke Urahara) as Hitomi.

Kamijyō's manga debuted in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2008, and Kodansha is shipping the 20th book volume in Japan this month. Del Rey Manga published two volumes of the manga in North America in 2010 (before Kodansha USA took over Del Rey's manga titles) and described the plot as follows:

Rei seems like an affable transfer student to everyone around him, but quirky high school beauty Sakura sees his true face as a terrifying vigilante - a "nonexistent" Code:Breaker who cannot be touched by the law. And since Sakura has just witnessed the effects of his deadly blue flame, she's slated to be the next to burn!
