The official website for the Infinite Stratos 2 anime adaptation of Izuru Yumizuru's Infinite Stratos romantic-comedy/action light novels announced on Saturday that an original Blu-ray/DVD of the anime will be released on October 30.

The "Ichika no Omoide" ("Ichika's Memory") original video anime (OVA) will be released less than a month after the anime begins airing in Japan. Both versions of the "Long Vacation Edition" OVA will contain the 40-minute OVA, 30 minutes of extra footage, a special CD, and an exclusive 28-page booklet. The Blu-ray version of the OVA will retail for 5,250 yen (about US$53), while the DVD version will cost 4,200 yen (US$42).

In addition, the official website updated on Saturday with new cast members and a promotional video for the anime:

The original Blu-ray/DVD release and promotional video also feature the anime's two new characters:

Chiwa Saito (Bakemonogatari, Puella Magi Madoka Magica) plays Tatenashi Sarashiki, the strongest student in the academy and the student council president. She is an energetic girl who loves playing tricks on people, and although she often teases Ichika, she has many mysterious points.

Suzuko Mimori (Btooom!, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes) plays Kanzashi Sarashiki, Tatenashi's younger sister and Ichika's classmate. She has an introverted and reserved personality. Although she is a candidate for the representative of Japan, for some reason, her mecha is still incomplete.

The website also announced that singer Minami Kuribayashi (The Devil Is a Part-Timer!, Katanagatari) will perform the anime's "True Blue Traveler" opening theme song, while voice actress Yōko Hikasa and other unannounced singers will perform the anime's "BEAUTIFUL SKY" ending theme.

Kumi Horii will be directing the anime at animation studio 8-Bit alongside series director Shin Tochika. Kumi Horii will also be designing the characters, while Sorato Shimizu is the sub-character designer. Takeshi Takakura and Kōichi Mugitani from CHOCO will be handling the mecha designs, while Hikaru Nanase will be scoring the music.

Additional staff is as follows:

The anime will premiere on Japanese television on October 2.
