posted on by Egan Loo
Adaptation of Tachi's 4-panel manga premieres on January 9

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Tachi's four-panel yuri Sakura Trick manga began streaming the first promotional video on Sunday. The same video is also running at this week's Comic Market 85 event in Tokyo. The video features the opening theme song "Won (*3*) Chu KissMe!" by voice actresses Haruka Tomatsu, Yuka Iguchi, Yuka Aisaka, Hiromi Igarashi, Mai Fuchigami, and Megumi Toda.

In the video, Yū (voiced by Yuka Iguchi) tells Haruka (Haruka Tomatsu) that they should do something with each other that they would never do with anyone else, as this would make them special to each other.

The story revolves around Haruka and Yū, two girls who go to a high school that is slated to be shut down in three years. To share "something special" between them, they share a kiss, and their relationship deepens from that moment onward.

Haruka Tomatsu will star as Haruka Takayama, and Yuka Iguchi will co-star as Yū Sonoda. Other cast members include Yuuka Aisaka as Kotone Noda, Hiromi Igarashi as Shizuku Minami, Mai Fuchigami as Kaede Ikeno, and Megumi Toda as Yuzu Iizuka. Additionally, Saki Fujita will play Mitsuki Sonoda, Momo Asakura will play Sumi Otokawa, and Yurika Endō will play Rina Sakai.

Ken'ichi Ishikura (D.C.III ~Da Capo III~, Hidamari Sketch × Hoshimittsu, Natsu no Arashi! Akinai-chū) is directing the series and is handling the series composition at Studio DEEN. Kyuta Sakai (Humanity Has Declined, Steins;Gate, When They Cry - Higurashi) is designing the characters. Ryosuke Nakanishi (D.C.III ~Da Capo III~, Kuroko's Basketball, High School DxD) will compose the series' music, and Satoki Iida (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, Danganronpa The Animation, Amagami SS+) will serve as sound director with the sound studio Dax Production.

Tomatsu and Iguchi are performing the ending theme song "Kiss (and) Love."

Tachi launched the manga in Hobunsha's Manga Time Kirara Miracle! in 2011, and Houbunsha published the second volume in February.

The series will premiere on TBS on January 9.
