CV: Casting Voice Game Adds Idolm@ster, God Eater Scenarios

Game to also include scripts from Tales of series

Namco Bandai Games producer Yūsuke Tomizawa, game producer Shinjirō Naitō, and voice actor Tsubasa Yonaga held a presentation for the CV ~Casting Voice~ PlayStation 3 game at the Machi Asobi event in Tokushima on Saturday. Tomizawa announced that the game will offer free DLC scenarios from The IDOLM@STER and God Eater games, along with the previously announced Tales of scripts. Asami Imai, Chiaki Takahashi, and other voice cast members will not only reenact their own Idolm@ster characters, but also voice other characters from that franchise.

In the game, players play as a voice actor producer, and will work to cast voice actors for anime and live-action projects. Players will also serve as sound directors to provide direction and guidance to the voice actors during recording. The game has several modes:

  • producer mode - selecting among the different anime, game, live-action scripts to create a dialogue soundtrack
  • casting mode - choosing the voices for each character
  • post-recording mode - the player can record his or her own voice for roles
  • recording mode - the player can mix and release the dialogue soundtrack

The game will include scripts from the Tales of video game series. The game will feature more than 40 different fictitious voice actors, from rookies to veterans in the industry. The cast includes:

The game will be released in limited and standard editions on June 19. Players can also purchase a USB microphone separately and cast themselves, too. The first copies of the game will include a download code for Nobunaga Shimazaki as Kyoya Garyuin and Rie Tanaka as Mirei Saiguji. The creators also plan to release additional characters and scenarios as DLC.
