Aniplex USA Offers 1st 2 Madoka Magica Films Dubbed, Anohana Film Blu-ray/DVD

Aniplex of America announced on Saturday that it is releasing the first two Puella Magi Madoka Magica films on Blu-ray and DVD with English dubbing and subtitles. It is also releasing anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day The Movie on Blu-ray and DVD and reissuing the two Gurren Lagann movies in a double feature Blu-ray set. The company detailed the Silver Spoon anime's upcoming DVD release as well. All of these releases will ship on July 15, and pre-orders for each will begin on Tuesday, May 27.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings and Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal will be available in a Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo set for US$99.98 (US$79.98 at retail), and each of these two films will also have a standalone DVD release for US$39.98 (US$29.98 at retail). All three releases will have Japanese and English soundtracks in surround sound, as well as English and Spanish subtitles. They will also include theatrical trailers, television commercials, and clean opening and ending sequences. Aniplex of America previously offered these two movies on Blu-ray with English subtitles.

The anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day movie will be available in a Collector's Edition (Blu-ray, DVD & CD Combo Set for US$79.98 or US$69.98 at retail), Standard Edition Blu-ray ($49.98 or $39.98), and Standard Edition DVD. All three will feature English and Spanish subtitles, as well as the clean opening sequence (Special O.A. Version), trailers, and television commercials. The Collectors' Edition also features a compilation music CD (with the theme song “Circle Game” by GALILEO GALILEI), four memorial postcards, a double-sided Menma poster, a deluxe booklet, and a box with an exclusive illustration by character designer Masayoshi Tanaka.

The Blu-ray set for Gurren Lagann the Movie –Childhood's End- and Gurren Lagann the Movie – The Lights in the Sky Are Stars- will have English subtitles and clean ending sequences. The set will cost US$79.98, or US$69.98 at retail. Both movies were previously offered on English-subtitled DVD, as well as in a Gurren Lagann - Complete Box Set release with the previous television series.

The complete DVD set for the first Silver Spoon anime season will have all 11 episodes with English subtitles for US$74.98 (US$59.98 at retail). It will also include clean opening and ending sequences, trailers, and television commercial.
