Singer, idol play Hawaiian girls who can transform into Cure Sunset, Cure Wave in 28th episode

Studio Toei Animation announced on Saturday that singer Hitomi Yoshida (seen top in the image above) and former AKB48 idol group member Sayaka Nakaya (bottom) will star in episode 28 of HappinessCharge Precure! as new characters Ohana and Orina, respectively. The characters Ohana and Orina are Hawaiian citizens, and are able to transform into Precure warriors. Ohana will transform into Cure Sunset, while Orina will fight as Cure Wave.

The episode begins when a fairy from Hawaii named Aloalo (from the Hawaiian word 'Aloha') comes to the HappinessCharge Precure! girls who are at the embassy for help, asking them to save the Aloha Precure girls. When they arrive in Hawaii, however, they find that the beach is frozen, and a frigid breeze is blowing. The girls learn that this is because Ohana and Orina, twin sisters who can transform into Precure warriors Cure Sunset and Cure Wave, respectively, have continued to lose against Madame Momele and the Illusion Empire. Little by little, the empire takes over more and more of the tropical paradise, covering it in frost. Although people say that fighting amongst each other is a proof of strong bonds, the twins even fight in front of Megumi and the others. Yūko attempts to mediate the situation before it's too late.

The 28th episode of HappinessCharge Precure! will premiere on Japanese television on August 17.

Yoshida has performed multiple theme songs for the Precure franchise, and performs the current HappinessCharge Precure! anime's ending theme song. Nakaya is performing the opening theme song for the same anime.
