Madman Adds Complete Seasons of Fairy Tail and Black Butler to AnimeLab

Madman dropped Fairy Tail onto AnimeLab.com last Tuesday, the 5th of August and added Black Butler on Monday the 11th of August. The official emails from Madman Entertainment state that Fairy Tail was the most requested series via AnimeLab.com's feedback system with Black Butler being second most requested.

Fairy Tail
Fairy Tail is set in a land of magic and mystery where a young celestial wizard called Lucy Heartfilia runs away from home to join the infamous wizard guild known as Fairy Tail. There she befriends Natsu Dragneel, a Dragon Slayer and his best friend Happy, a flying blue cat and teams up with the pair to tackle the guild's missions while searching for Natsu's foster parent, the Dragon named Igneel.
Fairy Tail is based on the popular manga by Hiro Mashima, the manga has been running in Weekly Shōnen Magazine since August 2006 and has been collected into 44 volumes. The anime adaptation was produced by A-1 Pictures and Satelight for TV Tokyo under direction from Shinji Ishihira (Log Horizon) with Masashi Sogo (Bleach) handling the series composition. The first series ran for a total of 175 episodes before ending in March 2013 before laying low for a year and starting a new series in April 2014.
Fairy Tail was announced at Manifest in August 2011. Since then Madman has went onto release the series on DVD and Blu-ray and will release collection 11 (covering episodes 121-131) in September 2014. Madman has also released Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess on home video.
Black Butler
In Victorian-era London, young Ciel Phantomhive is celebrating his 10th birthday with his family when a fire strikes the family manor and his parents are killed. Ciel resurfaces a month later with enigmatic black-clad butler Sebastian Michaelis in tow, and to others it appears that Sebastian is the best at what he does, protecting and serving the young master. However little do they know that Sebastian will assist Ciel until the young boy can have his revenge against those that have wronged him and upon that moment Sebastian will have Ciel's soul in return.
Black Butler was created by Yana Toboso and began life as a manga and ebuted in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine in 2006 and has published 19 volumes with over 18 million copies published in 42 countries and territories. The manga inspired a stage play in 2009 and a live-action film earlier this year. It received the top prize in the shōnen manga category of France's Japan Expo Awards in 2010 and the Best International Manga Award in Germany's ANImagic in 2011.
The anime adaptation was produced by A-1 Pictures and directed by Toshiya Shinohara (Book of Bantorra, Nagi no Asukara) with series composition handled by Mari Okada (Vampire Knight, Gosick) with the character designs adapted by Minako Shiba (.hack//SIGN, Noir). The first anime series (Black Butler) ran for 24 episodes and was followed by the second series (Black Butler II) for an additional 12 episodes and a six episode OAV. This year the series has received a third tv anime series titled Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus that premiered in July. This is alongside Kuroshitsuji: Book of Murder, a new OVA series that will premiere in Japanese theatres in the fall.
Black Butler was originally licensed by Madman Entertainment in June 2010 at Supanova Perth and they have since released Black Butler, Black Butler II and Black Butler II OAV. In June Madman announced that they will be releasing the Black Butler live-action movie in Australia and New Zealand.
