3rd Dog Days Season's Pre-Broadcast Video Previews Nana Mizuki's Song

posted on by Egan Loo
Season to premiere on January 10 with Nana Mizuki's opening song "No Limit"

The official website for Dog Days'' (Dog Days'' Double Dash), the third anime season based on the original work by Masaki Tsuzuki (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha), began streaming the pre-broadcast promotional video on Saturday. The video previews "No Limit," the opening theme song by Nana Mizuki.

The video notes that one season has passed since the events of the last anime. It is now autumn, and the three heroes are coming back to the land of Flonyard again. However, the heroes end up lost, and in the forest, they meet a mysterious dragon maiden named Sharu who may be friend or foe.

The anime will take place two to three months after the second season during fall vacation. Shinku and his team will show up every episode, but the regular members on the show will change every episode. Director Junji Nishimura admitted that although there are already approximately 20 major characters, two or three more will be added. The series will go into depth about the details behind the world of Flonyard, as well as delving deeper into what a hero is.

Sumire Uesaka (Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!, Hozuki no Reitetsu) will join the cast as the new character Sharu. Returning cast members include:

Mamoru Miyano as Shinku Izumi
Yui Horie as Millhiore F. Biscotti
Nana Mizuki as Ricotta Elmar
Ami Koshimizu as Leonmitchelli Galette Des Rois
Mikako Takahashi as Rebecca Anderson
Aoi Yūki as Kuberu E. Pastillage
Ayana Taketatsu as Eclair Martinozzi

Junji Nishimura will direct the series at Seven Arcs Pictures. Osamu Sakata will design the characters, while Susumu Akizuki and Yui Isshiki will provide the music.

The studio Seven Arcs (Asura Cryin', Sekirei, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) animated the first two seasons that premiered in 2011 and 2012. In the story, Princess Millhiore (Yui Horie) of the Biscotti Republic decides to summon a brave warrior from an alternate world to defend her country from the neighboring fiefdom of Galette. The "brave warrior" turns out to be a boy named Shinku (Mamoru Miyano) from modern-day Japan.

The anime will premiere on January 10.
