Jiyū no Tsubasa to open on June 27 with returning cast, staff

The offical website for the Attack on Titan anime began streaming a teaser trailer for Shingeki no Kyojin Kōhen ~Jiyū no Tsubasa~ (Attack on Titan Part II: Wings of Freedom), the second compilation film of the television anime, on Saturday. The teaser highlights the Female Titan and introduces the scenario and main staff members.

Armin: No. that's not it... Its not one of the crazy types... She has intelligence! She has armor, and she's really big... It's just like Eren. She's a human who's taken on the form of a titan!
Mikasa: A female titan.
Text: The latter half of the Attack on Titan films
Eren: I'll exterminate you...! I'll kill you!!
Erwin: Fire!
Eren: We don't have the time to think about things like whether or not this is right. The world is cruel.

Advance tickets for the film went on sale on November 29. The first round of tickets comes with a bonus B2-size poster of Eren and Levi:

The first film, Shingeki no Kyojin Zenpen ~Guren no Yumiya~ (Attack on Titan Part I: Crimson Bow and Arrow), opened in Japan on November 22, and the end announced that the second film will open on June 27, 2015. (The films are named after Linked Horizon's popular opening themes for the television anime.) The second season of the television anime will follow in 2016.

Amazon.co.jp lists eight Blu-ray Disc packages and eight DVD packages for the first film on March 18, depending on what bonuses buyers want. Buyers can opt for a standard edition or limited first edition in either format with 1) nothing more added, 2) an early-purchase commemorative card, 3) an large original pin badge, or 4) both the card and the badge. Another retailer, CD Japan (Neowing), is offering similar packages, except with a B2-size poster instead of the badge.

The films feature new dubbing and a 5.1ch remaster with returning voice cast members such as Yūki Kaji (Eren Jaeger), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman), and Marina Inoue (Armin Arlelt). The first film covers episodes 1 through 13 of the television anime, while the second film will cover 14 through 25. Director Tetsuro Araki is again helming the anime at Wit Studio with composer Hiroyuki Sawano.
