Narudoma Anime Casts Japanese Gaming Commentator Max

posted on by Sarah Nelkin

The Anime Japan 2015 stage event information for free manga app Comico updated on Saturday, and revealed that Japanese video game commentator MAX will lead the cast in the anime of Kometokaite Meter's Narudoma manga as Hagito. The personality confirmed the announcement on his Twitter. MAX will also perform the theme song for the anime.

The page also lists that Takeshi Onaka (Nyanpuku Nyaruma, Nukko.) will serve as the director. Attending the stage for the anime adaptation of Kyū Amekawa's Super Short Comics will be singer and actor Ichirō Mizuki, as well as illustrator Keisuke Matsumoto (Cosmos Pink Shock), who will serve as the director.

The Comico talk program “ComiTalk” will also be held during the event. The talk event will star voice talents Kenji Akabane, Satomi Akesaka, Hiromi Igarashi, Nana Inoue, and Mai Kadowaki. Naoki Yoshida will serve as the MC.

Narudoma revolves around Hagito, a handsome yet pitiful man with a lolita complex. Anytime, anywhere, a mirror is his constant companion. Surrounding him are a host of highly idiosyncratic characters: the diehard masochist Kei, the unnaturally strong yet girlish Totono, the exceedingly stylish working stiff Saitō, and the extraordinarily negative Roku. Even the one normal guy has his own issues.

Comico had announced last month that five anime adaptations of its serializing manga have been green-lit. The Narudoma and Super Short Comics anime are slated to premiere this spring, while the Momokuri anime is slated to debut later in 2015. The Nambaka and ReLIFE anime adaptations are slated to premiere in 2016. The company plans to announce more details at the AnimeJapan 2015 event that will be held in the Tokyo Big Sight event center from March 20 to March 22.
