"Select episodes" will screen at the convention on April 3

Sakura-Con announced on Tuesday that it screen the U.S. premiere of Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works' second season courtesy of Aniplex of America on Friday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. PDT, effectively 13 hours before its Japan premiere at midnight on April 4 (technically, April 5), at its convention in Seattle, Washington. The screening will include "select episodes" from the upcoming season.

The Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works television anime follows the original game's 'Unlimited Blade Works' route. Crunchyroll and Hulu streamed the first season in English-speaking territories as it aired in Japan. Aniplex will release the first Blu-ray box set simultaneously in Japan and North America on March 25.

The convention previously announced it will host Under the Dog producer Kōji Morimoto and writer; Jirō Ishii, singers Kanako Itou and Kanako Kondou; Wit Studio staff members Otomi Deai, Katsuhiko Kitada and Arifumi Imai; producers Tetsuya Kinoshita, Ryōsuke Tsuboi, and Shinichiro Kashiwada; musical duo GARNiDELiA; animation director and character designer Hiromi Kato; director and animator Osamu Kobayashi; game director Toshimichi Mori; Japanese voice actresses Sumi Shimamoto, Kana Ueda, and Haruka Terui,; Japanese voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka; and English dub voice actors Vic Mignogna, Johnny Yong Bosch, Christopher Bevins, Rachel Robinson, David Vincent, and Bryce Papenbrook.

Sakura-Con will take place at the Washington State Convention Center from April 3-5.
