Crunchyroll to Stream Uta no Prince-sama Revolutions Anime

Site also sets Plastic Memories streaming plans

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will stream the Uta no Prince Sama Revolutions (Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love Revolutions) television anime series as part of its spring 2015 simulcast lineup.

Crunchyroll will stream Uta no Prince Sama Revolutions every Saturday starting on April 4 at 1:30 p.m. EDT for premium members in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. Free members in those territories can watch the episodes one week later.

Returning cast members for the third season include:

Makoto Hoshino (Sword Art Online, To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness), episode director for the first two anime seasons, is directing the third series at A-1 Pictures. Tomoko Konparu (Kimi ni Todoke - From Me to You, Nodame Cantabile) is again in charge of series composition. Mitsue Mori (Chiko, Heiress of the Phantom Thief, Sound of the Sky) is returning as chief animation director and character designer, adapting Chinatsu Kurahana's original character designs. Elements Garden (Bodacious Space Pirates, You and Me.) is again composing the music. Mamoru Miyano is performing the opening theme song, and ST☆RISH — the in-story idol group voiced by the main cast — will perform the ending theme song.

The anime adapts a dating simulation video game for female players developed by Broccoli. In the slapstick romantic comedy, the female protagonist goes to a school for the performing arts with boys who are budding idols.

The original Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 1000% anime aired in Japan in July 2011, and ended in the September of that year. Niconico streamed that series outside of Japan as it aired. Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 2000%, the second series, premiered in Japan in 2013, and Crunchyroll streamed the series outside of Japan as it aired.

Sentai Filmworks licensed the first and second anime series and released them on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in North America last year.

Crunchyroll also specified the time and territories on Friday for its Plastic Memories stream. The site will stream Plastic Memories every Saturday starting on April 4 at 2:00 p.m. EDT for premium members in North America, Central America, South America, and Europe excluding the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Germany, Austria, and Liechtenstein. Free members in those territories can watch the episodes one week later. Viewster, the Aniplex Channel, Hulu, and Daisuki will also stream the series.
