Unlimited Psychic Squad's Manga Gets Sequel With Completely Original Story

The July issue of Shogakukan's Shōnen Sunday S magazine will announce on Saturday that Shinichi Inotsume and Rokurou Ōgaki will launch a new manga, titled Hōrōsha (Wanderer), in the magazine's next issue, which Shogakukan will publish on June 25. The manga is a spinoff of Takashi Shiina's Zettai Karen Children and The Unlimited - Hyōbu Kyōsuke manga.
The magazine teases the story's plot (the way the summary is written is a reference to the The Unlimited - Hyōbu Kyōsuke anime's opening theme song, "LAST RESOLUTION"):
Andy Hinomiya. The former investigator has gone on a vague journey. Where will his wanderings take him, and what does he hope to achieve? What does the light beyond the end reflect in his left eye?Unlimited.

Inotsume was in charge of series composition for both the Zettai Karen Children (Psychic Squad) and the Unlimited Psychic Squad (The Unlimited - Hyōbu Kyōsuke) anime. Ōgaki, who also drew The Unlimited - Hyōbu Kyōsuke manga, will provide the art for Hōrōsha. Shiina will supervise the spinoff manga, which will tell a completely original story from the original Zettai Karen Children manga and its anime spinoff.
Shiina's Zettai Karen Children sci-fi comedy series began in Shonen Sunday in 2005. Shogakukan published the 41st compiled book volume of the manga on March 18. The manga entered its final arc last August. The manga was adapted into a 52-episode television anime series in 2008, as well as a 2010 original video anime. Sentai Filmworks released the TV anime in North America in 2012 under the title Psychic Squad.
A spinoff TV anime focusing on the series antagonist Kyōsuke Hyōbu titled The Unlimited - Hyōbu Kyōsuke aired in 2013, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks acquired the anime last December, and released it on Blu-ray and DVD in North America on April 21. Rokurou Ōgaki launched the anime's manga adaptation in Shōnen Sunday S in March 2013, and ended it last May. Shogakukan published the fourth compiled volume in Japan on December 18.
