Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure Launches in the West on June 11

Digital-only game launched in Japan on Sunday

Nintendo announced during its Nintendo Direct presentation on Monday that it will release Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure (Dr. Mario Gyakuten! Tokkouyaku & Saikin Bokumetsu) in North America and Europe on June 11. As in Japan, the game will be exclusive to the Nintendo eShop.

The game launched in Japan on Sunday.

The game offers three modes of gameplay: standard "Dr. Mario" where players match falling capsule colors to a virus to destroy it, "Dr. Luigi" with L-shaped capsule blocks, and "Germ Buster" in which players can use the touchscreen. The game introduces "Miracle Cure" items in the Dr. Mario and Dr. Luigi modes to help clear stages (or cause problems for your opponent). The game offers one-on-one battles via the Internet or local Wi-Fi.
