IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Unveils Season 2 Song, Visual, Manga

Shine!! single debuts on August 4, Sō Ueto's manga launches on July 27

The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls 2nd Season unveiled a key visual, information about its theme song, and a manga adaptation this weekend.

The "Shine!!" theme song by the story's Cinderella Project idol group will go on sale on August 4, after the season itself premieres on July 17. Sō Ueto will launching the manga adaptation of The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, based on the original story by Yuniko Ayana, in the September issue of Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Rex magazine on July 27. In addition, the cast will hold two Niconico Live streaming events on July 7 and July 17.

Text: We are seeing a dream...
Uzuki: In a certain land, there were girls aiming to become idols...
Rin: And those girls always dreamed of the ball at the palace.
Text: Putting on the glass slipper, they go to the palace.
Mio: It was hard for them to learn how to dance, but in the end, they were able to perform the best show!
Uzuki: But you know... The story isn't over yet!
All: The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls's second season is beginning broadcast in July! The needle on the clock continues to move forward!

The first half of the 765 Pro version of The IDOLM@STER anime from A-1 Pictures is airing again from April 17 to July. The franchise will hold "10th Anniversary The IDOLM@STER M@sters of the Idol World!! 2015" concerts on July 18 and July 19 at the Seibu Prince Dome arena.

Daisuki streamed the first 13-episode season as it aired worldwide (except in some regions).

  • Maaya Uchida (Noragami's Hiyori) as Ranko Kanzaki
  • Nozomi Yamamoto (PriPara's Cosmo) as Rika Jōgasaki
  • Ruriko Aoki (il sole penetra le illusioni ~ Day Break Illusion's Priscilla) as Riina Tada
  • Aya Suzaki (Tamako Love Story's Tamako) as Minami Nitta
  • Hiromi Igarashi (Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!'s Hina) as Anzu Futaba
  • Natsumi Takamori (Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future's Reina) as Miku Maekawa

Much of the staff from the 2011 The Idolm@ster anime series returned for the Cinderella Girls anime. Noriko Takao is directing the series at A-1 Pictures, and is also supervising the series scripts alongside Tatsuya Takahashi. Yuusuke Matsuo (The Idolm@ster Anim@tion Master Namassuka Special CD jacket illustration, Yama no Susume character design) designed the characters.
