Ichijinsha, pixiv Launch 'Comic Pool' Digital Manga Magazine

Magazine focusing on online-based manga creators launches on Friday

Japanese publisher Ichijinsha and art website pixiv are jointly launching a digital manga magazine titled "Comic POOL" on Friday. The web magazine will focus on publishing works from manga creators who are notable for releasing their manga online.

When Comic POOL launches, it will serialize Fujita's Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii, Rekomaru Otoi's Ojisan to Marshmallow, and Sakasu Mikage's Imadoki☆Egypt Kami manga. The magazine will also begin serializing a new manga titled Zannen Danshi.

The Comic POOL website will update two times a month, on the first and third Friday of the month.

Ichijinsha published the first volume of Fujita's Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii manga on April 30, and it published the second volume of Otoi's Ojisan to Marshmallow manga on June 25. Ojisan to Marshmallow will get an anime adaptation by Hisayoshi Hirasawa and Noriyoshi Sasaki at the Creators in Pack studio. Mikage's Imadoki☆Egypt Kami manga is currently serialized in Ichijinsha's Febri magazine.

Ichijinsha already operates the Zero-Sum Online and Palette Online manga websites for its Monthly Comic Zero Sum and Manga 4-Koma Palette magazines, respectively. pixiv already operates its pixiv Comic manga service.
