The official Twitter account for the Idolish 7 "big media-mix project" posted a 15-second sample of the project's "Leopard Eyes" music video on Monday. The animation studios NAZ animated this music video for the song of the same name, as sung by the Trigger idol group.

The studio BONES animated another music video for the "MEMORiES MELODiES" song by the actual Idolish 7 group.

The multimedia project features a smartphone game, music releases, manga, and a serialized novel. Manga creator Arina Tanemura (Full Moon O Sagashite, The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross, Sakura Hime: The Legend of Princess Sakura) drafted the original character designs for the project.

The members of Idolish 7 are: Toshiki Masuda as Iori Izumi, Yusuke Shirai as Yamato Nikaidou, Tsubasa Yonaga as Mitsuki Izumi, KENN as Tamaki Yotsuba, Atsushi Abe as Sogo Ohsaka, Takuya Eguchi as Nagi Rokuya, and Kenshō Ono as Riku Nanase. The members of Trigger are Wataru Hatano as Gaku Yaotome (left in image below), Sōma Saitō as Ten Kujō (center), and Takuya Satou as Ryūnosuke Tsunashi (right).

Vocaloid producer kz (Livetune, songs on Oreimo, Re:␣Hamatora, Digimon Xros Wars: Toki o Kakeru Shōnen Hunter-tachi) composed Idolish 7's first song "Monster Generation," NAZ created the animation sequence for the music video (below), and Kasumi Fukagawa (Persona 3 the Movie #1 Spring of Birth assistant animation director) adapted Tanemura's designs for animation.

Bandai Namco Online made the Idolish 7 "dramatic rhythm action" iOS and Android game with music in collaboration with Lantis. The player assumes the role of Tsumugi Takanashi, a manager for a new idol group. She must train seven male singers — each with their own individual personalities — to turn them into the No. 1 idols. The game features full voicing of the dialogue by the cast.

Nokoshi Yamada launched a manga on Hakusensha's "Hana LaLa online" site on July 24. Bunta Tsushimi launched the novelization on the Web Hakusensha Novels site at the end of July.
