Indonesian television channel Global TV announced on Wednesday that it will begin airing the Dragon Ball GT anime series on December 19. The series will air every Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
The 64-episode Dragon Ball GT series is a sequel to the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series. Unlike the first two series, Dragon Ball GT does not adapt stories from the original manga by Akira Toriyama. Indonesian channel Indosiar originally aired Dragon Ball GT in Indonesia in 2014.
Global TV previously aired the original Dragon Ball anime series. The broadcast launched on August 17, and ended on October 28.
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F', the newest anime film in the franchise, premiered in Japan on April 18. Dragon Ball Super, a new TV anime series and the latest entry in the Dragon Ball franchise, premiered in Japan on July 5.
