More Ghibli Cinema Screenings in U.K.

Countrywide screenings of twelve Ghibli films from the end of April

The Picturehouse Cinema chain has announced numerous cinema screenings of Studio Ghibli films around the U.K., screening under the heading Studio Ghibli Forever.

From April 29: Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind

From May 6: Laputa: Castle in the Sky

From May 13: My Neighbour Totoro

From May 20: Grave of the Fireflies

From May 27: Kiki's Delivery Service

From June 3: Only Yesterday

From June 17: Princess Mononoke

From June 24: Spirited Away, pictured.

From July 1: Howl's Moving Castle

From July 8: Ponyo

From July 15: The Wind Rises

From July 22: The Tale of the Princess Kaguya

The following venues are participating. (Additionally, later Ghibli screenings have already been announced from July and August in London, Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, Nottingham and GLASGOW.)

Clapham Picturehouse. Saturday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on April 30; most screenings at 1.30 p.m. Dubs.

Crouch End Picturehouse. Saturday and Thursday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on April 30. The Saturday screenings are mostly dubs at 3.30 p.m.; the Thurday screenings are mostly subs at 8.30 p.m.

East Dulwich Picturehouse. Saturday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on April 30. Nausicaä is dubbed; the subsequent Saturday screenings (at 11.30 a.m.) are a mixture of subs and dubs

Greenwich Picturehouse. Wednesday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on May 4.

Hackney Picturehouse. Saturday and Thursday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on May 5. The Saturday screenings are dubs at 4 p.m.; the Thursday screenings are subs at 9 p.m.

Picturehouse Central, London's West End. Saturday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on April 30; screenings at 3 p.m. Subs.

Ritzy, Brixton. Sunday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on May 1; screenings at 2 p.m. Subs, except for dubbed Spirited Away and Ponyo.

Stratford Picturehouse. Saturday and Monday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on April 30. Saturday screenings at 3.30 p.m; Monday screenings at 8.30 p.m. Subs.

Little Theatre Cinema, Bath. Wednesday screenings at 8.30 p.m., starting with Nausicaä on May 4. Subs.

Picturehouse Bradford at National Media Museum. Saturday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on April 30. Subs.

Picturehouse Brighton at Duke of York's. Sunday screenings at 1.30 p.m., starting with Nausicaä on May 1. Screenings mostly at 11 a.m. Until Kiki's Delivery Service (May 30), they are subbed; subsequent screenings are unconfirmed.

Cambridge Arts Picturehouse. Wednesday and Saturday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on May 4. Wednesday screenings at 9 p.m. at subtitled; also Saturday dubbed 'kids club' screening at 11 a.m. (no unaccompanied adults).

Cameo, Edinburgh Starts with Nausicaä on (Sunday) May 1; subsequent screenings are on Saturdays and Wednesdays. The Saturday screenings are dubbed at 11 a.m.; the Wednesday screenings are subbed at 8.30 p.m.

Exeter Picturehouse. Wednesday and Sunday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on May 4. Wednesday screenings at 6.30 p.m; Sunday screenings mostly around 4 p.m. Suns.

Cinema City in Norwich. Apart from Nausicaä on Thurday May 5, the screenings are on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8.30 p.m.. Subs.

Picturehouse at FACT, Liverpool. Wednesday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on May 4. Screenings at 6 p.m., subs.

Phoenix Picturehouse, Oxford. Saturday and Monday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on April 30. at 1.30 p.m., starting with Nausicaä on May 1. The Saturday screenings are around lunchtime; the Monday screenings are 6 or 6.30 p.m. All subbed.

Harbour Lights Southampton. Various days and times, mostly subbed, mostly 8.30 p.m.

Cityscreen, York Saturday and Monday screenings, starting with Nausicaä on April 30. The Saturday screenings.are at 12 noon; the Monday screenings are around 6 p.m. All subbed.
