Amanchu! Anime Reveals Ending Theme Singers, Lists 7 Blu-ray Volumes

Lead voice actresses Eri Suzuki, Ai Kayano perform "Futari Shōjo"

A joint event for the anime adaptations of Kozue Amano's Amanchu! and Aria manga announced the singers for the Amanchu! anime's ending theme song, details on its Blu-ray Disc release, and other information on Sunday.

The anime's lead voice actresses Eri Suzuki (Hikari Kohinata) and Ai Kayano (Futaba Ōki) formed the unit "Tekopikari" to sing the ending theme song "Futari Shōjo" (Two Girls). The song's single (with additional insert songs "Aquamarine" and "Turquoise") and the anime's soundtrack (with about 25 tracks) by guitar duo Gontiti will both go on sale on August 24.

The first Blu-ray volume will ship on September 28 with two episodes, a digest video of the Niconico-streamed cast announcement, staff commentary, and a jacket illustration (pictured above) by character designer Yōko Itō. The limited first pressing will add an Amano-illustrated box for the first four volumes, an application form for an event's advance ticket sales and a booklet.

According to the anime's official website, there will be seven monthly Blu-ray volumes between September 28, 2016 and March 29, 2017. According to the retailer Amazon, each volume will be 50 minutes long.

Comic Natalie and Moca News posted stills from the anime's first episode. The web program Amanchu! Radio! will begin on July 7.

Itō, the city that serves as the backdrop of the story, is hosting a tie-in campaign between the anime and the local mass transit service, bus service, shopping/entertainment complex, diving service, and other businesses. The visual for the campaign is below:

Amano's manga follows the everyday lives of the members of a diving club in the city of Itō, in Shizuoka prefecture. The manga features the same high school and some of the characters from Amano's earlier Roman Club manga.

The cast includes:

Eri Suzuki as Hikari Kohinata

Ai Kayano as Futaba Ooki

Saori Ōnishi as Ai Ninomiya

Yuichiro Umehara as Makoto Ninomiya

Shizuka Itou as Mato Katori

Yurika Kubo as Cha-Komon

Kikuko Inoue as Kino Kohinata

Junichi Satō (Sailor Moon, Princess Tutu, Aria the Animation) is serving as chief director. Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile, Bakuman.) is directing the series at J.C. Staff, with scripts by Deko Akao (Yes! Precure 5, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Snow White with the Red Hair). Yōko Itō (Love Stage!!) is designing the characters.

Amanchu! will premiere on July 8 on AT-X, and it will also run on Tokyo MX other channels.
