Aniplex USA to ship import BD in standard, collector's editions on August 3

Aniplex of America began streaming an English-subtitled trailer on Monday for Persona 3 the Movie #4 Winter of Rebirth, the fourth and final anime film adaptation of Atlus' Persona 3 role-playing game. The video is an English-subtitled version of an earlier video, and previews the film's theme song "Boku no Akashi" by Yumi Kawamura.

Aniplex of America is releasing the film as an imported Blu-ray Disc in North America on August 3 in both a standard and Collector's Edition. Both editions will contain bonus trailers, commercials, and audio commentary. The Collector's Edition will have exclusive box and cover art, the original soundtrack CD, an English-translated version of the 48-page deluxe booklet, and a memorial film strip.

Tomohisa Taguchi (Persona 3 the Movie #2 Midsummer Knight's Dream, Persona 4 the Golden Animation) took over as director for the fourth film at A-1 Pictures from a screenplay by Jun Kumagai with supervision by Seiji Kishi. Zenou Tanioka of Bihou, Inc. returned as art director from the second film, after Toshihiro Kohama served in that role for the third film. Junpei Takatsu was the composite and visual director. Keisuke Watabe designed the characters for the film, and Shoji Meguro and Tetsuya Kobayashi scored the soundtrack.

The film premiered in Japan on January 23.

Aniplex of America released the first film in May 2014, followed by the second film in March 2015, and the third film in January.
