Metro Manila pop culture convention AsiaPOP Comicon announced on Sunday that it will host singer and guitarist Hiroshi Kitadani at its event.

The singer released a self-titled mini-album in 1999, the same year he made his major debut by performing "We Are!," the first opening theme song of the One Piece anime. He later performed the anime's 15th opening theme song "We Go!," and is performing the current opening "We Can!" with Kishidan. He joined the JAM Project band in 2003, and is still a member of the band today. Kitadani has released two full-length albums for his solo career, and since his debut as a JAM Project member, has performed as part of the band on anime and game theme songs, and gone on tours with the band. Some of the anime he has performed theme songs for as part of JAM Project include Kotetsushin Jeeg, Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact!, Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector, and Garo the Animation.

AsiaPOP Comicon will take place at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay on August 26 to 28.
