The Seven Deadly Sins' Spinoff Manga Mayoe! Nanatsu no Taizai Gakuen! Ends

The November issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine released the final chapter of Jūichi Tamaki's Mayoe! Nanatsu no Taizai Gakuen! manga on Saturday. The series' fourth and final compiled book volume will ship in Japan on November 17.

Tamaki launched the school comedy spinoff of Nakaba Suzuki's The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) manga in 2014, and the third compiled volume shipped in Japan this past April. The "hilarious spinoff comedy" re-imagines the Sins as high school students.

Kodansha Comics, the publisher of the original manga in North America, describes how the story of the original manga begins:

When they were accused of trying to overthrow the monarchy, the feared warriors the Seven Deadly Sins were sent into exile. Princess Elizabeth discovers the truth - the Sins were framed by the king's guard, the Holy Knights - too late to prevent them from assassinating her father and seizing the throne!

Now the princess is on the run, seeking the Sins to help her reclaim the kingdom. But the first Sin she meets, Meliodas, is a little innkeeper with a talking pig. He doesn't even have a real sword! Have the legends of the Sins' strength been exaggerated?

Suzuki launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2012, and Kodansha published the 22nd compiled book volume in September. Kodansha Comics published the first English volume in 2014, and the 16th volume shipped in September. Crunchyroll is posting the new chapters as they appear in Japan.

Suzuki drew two spinoff manga for The Seven Deadly Sins in February 2015. Chie Sakamoto debuted the Nanatsu no Taizai Production (The Seven Deadly Sins Production) comedy spinoff manga last November. The series also had a crossover chapter with Fairy Tail in 2013.

The original series inspired two television anime, and the manga's compiled volumes have bundled two OVAs.
