Tenshi no 3P/Here Comes the Three Angels TV Anime's Summer Debut, Drama CD Tie-In Revealed

Yūko Ōno, Yurika Endō, Aoi Koga to also form real-life band & chronicle their journey

The January 2017 issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko Magazine is reporting on Saturday that the television anime of Sagu Aoyama's Tenshi no 3P! (Here Comes the Three Angels) light novel series will premiere next summer.

The magazine is also reporting that the television anime is just one of the three projects in the works for the franchise. A drama CD will ship before the anime's premiere. The magazine teases that the CD will also feature guest voices, and Aoyama is creating a story specifically for the CD.

In addition, the three voice actresses behind the anime's girl band are forming a band in real-life. The project will chronicle the real-life band's formation, including their first practice session together and their individual lessons.

The "loli pop comedy" light novel series follows Kyō Mekui, a high school student who tends to skip school due to a trauma in his past. Kyō secretly creates songs using vocal song synthesis software as his hobby. Three girls who just entered fifth grade — the crybaby Jun "Jun-tan" Gotō, the strong-willed Nozomi "Zomi" Momijidani, and the somewhat sleepy Sora "Kū" Kaneshiro who takes life at her own pace — email Kyō. These three girls, who were raised together like sisters since childhood, want Kyō to help them break into music in this "loli & pop symphony" story.

The anime will star:

Shinsuke Yanagi (Ro-Kyu-Bu! SS, And you thought there is never a girl online?) is directing the anime at anime studio project No.9. Takayuki Noguchi (Ro-Kyu-Bu!, Girls Beyond the Wasteland) is adapting Tinkle's original novel character designs for animation, and Go Zappa (Koihime Musō, NAKAIMO - My Little Sister Is Among Them!) is both writing and overseeing the scripts. Lantis is producing the music.

Aoyama and Tinkle launched the novel series in 2012 and Kadokawa published the eighth volume on October 8.

Yuzu Mizutani launched a manga adaptation in May 2014. Omiya's Tenshi no 3P! no 3P!! spinoff manga launched in Dengeki Moeoh in 2013.

Aoyama and Tinkle's Ro-Kyu-Bu! light novel series inspired two television anime series in 2011 and 2013, and also inspired several video games.
