Kodansha USA Releases The Full-Time Wife Escapist, House of the Sun, Peach Heaven Manga Digitally

Kodansha Comics published the first volumes of Tsunami Umino's The Full-Time Wife Escapist (Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu), Taamo's House of the sun. (Taiyō no Ie), and Mari Yoshino's Peach Heaven (Momoiro Heaven!) manga on Tuesday.

In The Full-Time Wife Escapist, Mikuri Moriyama has a graduate degree, but because of job scarcity she can only find temporary employment. She finds work as a personal housekeeper for Hiramasa Tsuzaki, a subordinate at her father's company. When her parents decide to move to the countryside for retirement, Mikuri is running out of time to find a more permanent job. Torn about what to do, Tsuzaki suddenly proposes to Mikuri, and the two enter a "contract marriage" since Mikuri wants to let her parents move to the countryside without worry and Tsuzaki doesn't want to hire another housekeeper.

The series has been running in Kodansha's Kiss magazine since November 2012, and Kodansha will ship the ninth compiled volume on March 13. The manga won the shojo category of the 39th Kodansha Awards. A live-action television series adaptation aired in Japan last fall.

House of the sun. revolves around a girl named Mao Motomiya. When they were kids, Mao used to spend a lot of time at her neighbor Hiro Nakamura's house because it would always make her feel happy. Years later and now in high school, her father remarries and she feels she's lost her home when 24-year old Hiro, who lives alone since he lost his parents, invites her to come live with him.

Taamo began the manga in the June 2010 issue of Kodansha's Dessert magazine, and ended the series in January 2015. A spinoff series briefly ran in the same magazine following the series' conclusion. The manga won the shojo category of the 38th Kodansha Awards.

Kodansha released the series in 13 compiled volumes. Limited edition pressings of volumes five and six came bundled with a drama CD starring Aoi Yūki as Mao Motomiya, Yūichi Nakamura as Hiro Nakamura, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Daiki Nakamura, Kanae Itō as Sugimoto, Kenji Akabane as Fujita, Yōko Hikasa as Chii-chan, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Oda, and Ayaka Saitō as Hina Nakamura.

Kodansha Comics describes Peach Heaven:

At first glance, Momoko Shina may appear to be nothing more than your average high school girl, but she has a secret identity—as the famous erotica author "George Aihara"! After she witnesses an intimate moment between one of her teachers and the supermodel Ranmaru, she borrows a little too much from reality in an effort to beat the deadline on her latest story. When Ranmaru gets wind of this, he makes Momoko an offer she can't refuse … Watch the sparks fly as these two try to figure each other out in this high-tension romantic comedy!

Yoshino began the manga in the March 2007 issue of Kodansha's Dessert magazine and ended the series in the September 2012 issue. Kodansha published the 13th and final compiled volume in January 2013.
