Action RPG also launches for PC in Japan this fall

This week's issue of Kadokawa's Weekly Famitsu magazine is revealing on Thursday that the Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen game will get new PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC releases in Japan this fall. CAPCOM also announced that the action role-playing game will get PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases in the West this fall.

The announcement marks the fifth anniversary of the original Dragon's Dogma game's release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in May 2012. The Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen expanded and enhanced version shipped for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in April 2013. The PC version debuted in January 2016, but the upcoming release will mark the first time that the game is available for PC in Japan.

Dragon's Dogma Online launched on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC in August 2015. Yumiya Tashiro launched the Dragon's Dogma Revives manga adaptation of the online game this past January.

Game director and designer Hideaki Itsuno revealed in January that he plans to announce a new game this year. Itsuno has directed Devil May Cry 2, Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, Devil May Cry 4, Dragon's Dogma, and Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.
