Beyblade Burst Evolution to Premiere in Canada This Fall

posted on by Karen Ressler
Beyblade Burst premiered in Canada in September

The June 2017 issue of TFE Licensing revealed on May 23 that Beyblade Burst Evolution, the "second season" of Beyblade Burst, will premiere in Canada this fall from Chorus Entertainment. In Japan, the sequel to Beyblade Burst is titled Beyblade Burst God.

Beyblade Burst premiered in Japan in April 2016, and Beyblade Burst God premiered this past April.

The anime began airing on Canada's Teletoon channel on September 10, and then premiered on Disney XD for two weeks on December 19. Daisuki began streaming the series with English subtitles later in December, and English-dubbed episodes are available digitally via Disney XD's digital platforms and the Beyblade Burst YouTube channel.

Toy company Hasbro and d-rights' U.S. subsidiary Sunrights announced plans in February 2016 to launch the Beyblade Burst toys and anime outside of Japan. Hasbro began distributing the toys in the United States in January.

Takara Tomy's Beyblade line of toys inspired a manga series in 2000-2003, and Viz Media released the 14-volume series in North America in 2004-2006. The manga inspired three television anime series (Beyblade, Beyblade: V-Force, and Beyblade G Revolution) between 2001-2003, and the Beyblade the Movie: Fierce Battle film in 2002. A spinoff manga, Metal Fight Beyblade, has inspired the Beyblade: Metal Fusion, Beyblade: Metal Masters, Beyblade: Metal Fury, and Beyblade: Shogun Steel television anime series, as well as the Metal Fight Beyblade VS Taiyō Shakunetsu no Shinryakusha film.
