Jump Giga Magazine Ends 'Season' With 4th Issue, Final Chapter of Ichigo 100% Sequel

Magazine began planned 4-issue run on April 28

This year's third issue of Shueisha's Jump Giga magazine revealed on Friday that it will end its current "season" with its fourth issue on July 28. The current season launched on April 28, and had a planned four-issue run.

The first "season" of the magazine launched in July last year with Shueisha's Shōnen Jump NEXT!! magazine changing its name to Jump Giga for a planned four-issue run. The first season's final issue shipped last October.

The final issue will also publish the final chapter for Ichigo 100% East Side Story, the sequel to Mizuki Kawashita's Ichigo 100% (Strawberry 100%) manga. The manga launched with the second season of Jump Giga on April 28. Natsuki Hogami's Hikuma no Te and Hirokazu Yasuhara's Exoarts will also end in the final issue.

Kawashita launched the Ichigo 100% (Strawberry 100%) manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2002, and ended it in 2005. The series ran for 19 volumes and Viz Media released the 14th volume in North America in 2010. The series inspired a television anime series, a four-episode video anime, and an anime special.

Kawashita's Hatsukoi Limited manga also inspired a television anime in 2009 that Sentai Filmworks licensed.

The final issue of Jump Giga will also publish two one-shots, including a spinoff one-shot of Shun Numa's Samon the Summoner manga, and "Hoshikuzu no Sorakiru" by Psyren creator Toshiaki Iwashiro.
