KyoAni's 'Baja no Studio' Event Anime Reveals 3rd Promo Video, Staff, Cast, Story

Studio to bundle anime centering on mascot character with tickets to October event

Kyoto Animation began streaming a third promotional video on Saturday for "Baja no Studio" (Baja's Studio), an anime project that centers on Kyoto Animation's mascot character Baja. The anime will be included on a Blu-ray Disc bundled with tickets to Kyoto Animation and Animation DO fan event from October 28-29. The Blu-ray Disc will also be sold separately at a later date.

Kyoto Animation also opened a website for the project on Saturday, revealing the cast, staff, and story.

The anime stars (from top left down, then from top right down in above image):

Ichirou Miyoshi (episode director for Sound! Euphonium, Tamako Market) is directing the anime at Kyoto Animation, and Rin Yamamoto (3D CG for Free! Eternal Summer, A Silent Voice) is the CG director.

The story centers on Baja, who came to its current home when it was small, but it doesn't remember much about what happened before it arrived at its current home. Baja's current home is at the KOHATA Anime Studio, where the staff make anime works filled with dreams. Baja also has its friend, who is a duck. Every day is peaceful and fun. But one night, people start disappearing from the studio. And suddenly, a drawing attacks Baja's duck friend. The anime follows Baja's strange night adventure.

In addition to the Blu-ray Disc, the special edition tickets to the event will include a commentary book on 2016-2017 works, as well as a workbook featuring illustrations and staff-selected raw materials for 2016-2017 works. They are on sale at the KyoAni & Do Shop! or the KyoAni Shop! Online for 12,000 yen (about US$107) until July 30 or until they run out. Regular tickets for the event are selling for 3,000 yen (about US$27). The event will be held at Miyakomesse in Kyoto.
