gdgd Fairies' Strawberry Meets Pictures Produces aiseki Mogol Girl Stop-Motion Animation

Animation studio Strawberry Meets Pictures (gdgd Fairies) announced during the Sendai Anime Fes event on Saturday that it is producing a new stop-motion animated project titled aiseki MOGOL GIRL. The television series will premiere in October.
Ryō Katō will play the character Fuyumi (left in picture above), while Natsuko Hara will play the character Haruko (right). Kato commented that the animation will have "prelay" voice recording, instead of recording dialogue to a finished cut or storyboards, and that it gives the animation a "live" feeling.
The staff describes the anime as both "warm" and "surreal."
The studio's gdgd Fairies surreal CG anime series premiered in 2011, with a second season in 2013. Crunchyroll streamed both series. The series also received a film in September 2014. Crunchyroll also streamed the studio's 2012-2013 Boku no Imōto wa "Ōsaka Okan" series.
