Anime will have 5-minute episodes, cast members from game reprise roles

Square Enix revealed more details on the television anime of its Dia Horizon multimedia project on Tuesday. The Dia Horizon (Kabu) anime will be a short anime with five-minute episodes, and it will use Flash and CG animation. The story will combine the game's world with modern salaryman life.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on October 2 at 25:00 (effectively October 3 at 1:00 a.m.).

The cast members, reprising their roles from the game, include:

Haruki Kasugamori (Ketsu-Inu, Keroro, Lunatan: 1-Mannen no Himitsu) is directing the anime at Fanworks. Yūki Takabayashi (Love Rice) is supervising and writing the scripts.

The project also has a series of web anime shorts that run in the project's official website. It launched on August 9.

The project's smartphone game launched for iOS and Android devices on August 24.

A four-panel web manga is available on the website. 11 installments are currently available, and the website lists at least one more installment as "coming soon." A separate original manga also launched in Square Enix's Manga UP! app on August 6.

Ghost Mikawa is writing the alternate world fantasy novel Dia Horizon ~Akatsuki no Keiyakusha~ (Dia Horizon: Dawn's Contractee) that is serializing on Kadokawa's Kakuyomu website. The novel's prologue chapter debuted on July 28.
