Crunchyroll, Funimation Add 7 Fall Anime Titles

Crunchyroll and Funimation Entertainment announced on Wednesday that they will stream the following fall 2017 anime:

• Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond
• Love Live! Sunshine!! 2nd Season
• A Sister's All You Need
• King's Game
• KONOHANA KITAN
• Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~
• Anime-Gataris

Crunchyroll will stream the anime in Japanese with English subtitles and Funimation will stream English dubs. Premiere times will be announced at a later date.

Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond, the second anime based on Yasuhiro Nightow's Blood Blockade Battlefront manga, will premiere in Japan on MBS on October 7 at 27:08 (effectively October 8 at 3:08 a.m.), and will then air on Tokyo MX and BS11 on October 8 at 24:30 (effectively October 9 at 12:30 a.m.).

The new series will explore the connection between Michella and Leo and will also explore the mysteries of the "All Seeing Eyes of God."

BONES is once again animating the new series. Shigehito Takayanagi (Galaxy Angel A, The World God Only Knows, Dagashi Kashi) is taking over as director of the anime from the previous season's Rie Matsumoto, and Yasuko Kamo (Dagashi Kashi) is also taking over series composition duties from Kazunao Furuya. Toshihiro Kawamoto returns as character designer and chief animation director, and Taisei Iwasaki returns to compose the music.

The new Love Live! Sunshine!! anime will premiere in Japan on October 7 at 10:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and KBS Kyoto. It will air later the same evening on BS11 and TV Aichi, and the evening of October 10 on TV Hokkaido, SBS, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting.

Uranohoshi Girls' High School, a private school in the seaside neighborhood of Uchiura at Numazu city, Shizuoka prefecture. A small high school in a corner of Suruga Bay, it is home to nine teens, led by second-year student Chika Takami, driven by one seriously big dream: To become the next generation of bright, sparkling “school idols”! As long as we don't give up, any dream can come true... All we have to do now is keep pushing hard for glory! Now their “School Idol Project” begins to make their dreams come true!

The first Love Live! Sunshine!! anime premiered in July 2016. Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Daisuki streamed the series outside of Japan. The Love Live! Sunshine!! project was first announced in February 2015. The project's three key phrases are "Reader Participation," "Inspired by μ's," and "Seaside Town Setting." The group's name Aqours was chosen by fans by popular vote.

A Sister's All You Need (Imōto Sae Ireba Ii.) adapts Yomi Hirasaka's light novel series. The anime will premiere in Japan on October 8 at 10:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX. It will air later the same evening on Sun TV and KBS Kyoto, and also air on BS11 and AT-X.

The story follows the everyday life of Itsuki, a novelist and "modern day Pygmalion" who works day in and day out to create the ultimate younger sister. He is surrounded by various other characters: a beautiful genius writer who loves him, his big-sisterly classmate from college, a fellow male writer, a sadistic tax accountant, and his editor. They're all looked after by Itsuki's perfect younger "step-brother," Chihiro, who has a big secret.

Shin Oonuma (Anne-Happy, Watamote) is the supervising director and Jin Tamamura (Chivalry of a Failed Knight) is the series director at Silver Link. Original creator Hirasaka is handling the series composition and scripts. Sumie Kinoshita (Girlish Number) is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director. Masanori Tsuchiya (Restaurant to Another World) is the sound director and Tomoki Kikuya (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat.) is composing the music.

King's Game The Animation, the television anime adaptation of Nobuaki Kanazawa's Ō-sama Game (King's Game) cellphone novel, will premiere in Japan on October 5 on AT-X at 11:30 p.m., and will air later in the week on Tokyo MX and BS11.

Kanazawa Nobuaki has transferred to a high school far from where he used to live. Due to an incident at his old school, Nobuaki is afraid of getting close to his new classmates and keeps himself at a distance, but he starts opening up because of a sports day inter-class relay. Then, a single text message from someone calling themselves the "King" is sent to everyone in class. Nobuaki's classmates think it's a simple prank, and don't take it seriously--but Nobuaki knows that a death game is about to begin, and struggles to oppose it...

Noriyoshi Sasaki (Ojisan to Marshmallow) is directing the anime at Seven. Kenji Konuta (Library War, Haitai Nanafa, Ace of Diamond) is in charge of series composition. Kan Soramoto (High School DxD, Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia animation director) and Yōsuke Itō (The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST, Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia animation director) are in charge of character designs, and Soramoto is also credited as the chief animation director.

The television anime of Sakuya Amano's Konohana Kitan manga will premiere in Japanon AT-X on October 4 at 8:00 p.m., and later the same evening on Tokyo MX. It will also air the following night on BS11 and on Kansai TV.

Konohana Kitan is the heartwarming story of a new apprentice named Yuzu, and the other fox girls who work at a hot spring hotel called Konohatei. Hideki Okamoto (Nagasarete Airantou, Nana to Kaoru, D.C. II: Da Capo II) is directing the series at Lerche. Takao Yoshioka (WATAMOTE, Ikki Tousen, Elfen Lied) is handling the series composition, and Keiko Kurosawa (Scum's Wish, Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle) is the character designer.

The Code:Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ television anime series adapts a PlayStation Vita game of the same name. The anime will premiere in Japan on October 7. The series will also stream on 18 online services in Japan starting on October 9.

Hideyo Yamamoto (Strike the Blood, The Prince of Tennis II) is directing the anime at studio M.S.C (The Prince of Tennis II). Sayaka Harada (STARMYU) is handling the series composition, and Joe is handling scenario supervision. miko designed the original characters, and Aya Nakanishi (Lady Jewelpet) is adapting those designs for animation. Akiharu Ishii (Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū, The Prince of Tennis) is the chief animation director. Ryō Takahashi is composing the music at Lantis.

Anime-Gataris (Anime Stories) is DMM Pictures' new original television anime. The anime will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX on October 8 at 10:00 p.m. A special program for the anime will air on the channel on October 1. The anime will also begin airing on BS Fuji on October 11 at 24:00 (effectively October 12 at 12:00 a.m.), with the special program airing on October 4.

The anime centers on Minoa Asagaya, a new high school student at Sakaneko Private High School. Despite being a novice to anime, Minoa's classmate Arisu Kamiigusa invites her to make an "anime research club" at school. Through conversations with her classmate Miko Kōenji, as well as various anime-loving upperclassmen, Minoa gradually gets hooked on anime. While they stand against the student council's continuous efforts to disband their club, and they ignore the impending end of the world, they talk about anime, whether in Akiba, or in real-life "sacred place" anime settings, or the hot springs.

Kenshirō Morii (Gakumon! ~Ōkami Shōjo wa Kujikenai~, Wake Up, Girl Zoo!) is directing the anime at Wao World.Hiroshi Kubo is the assistant director. Mitsutaka Hirota (The Prince of Tennis II, Sweetness & Lightning) is in charge of series composition. so-shi (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ED director) is designing the characters and is also credited as chief animation director. Hiroshi Gouroku is the art director, and Emi Kesamaru is in charge of art setting. Kunio Tsujita is the color designer, while Norimasa Teramoto is the director of photography. Graphinica is credited as editor. Keigo Hoashi and Kuniyuki Takahashi are composing the music, and Yukio Nagasaki is the sound director at Studio Mouse.
