Horror manga centering on app that gives girls advice with consequences launched on September 6

The November issue of Akita Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Champion magazine revealed on Friday that the planned spinoff of Shingo Honda's Saiko Kuro manga (pictured at right) is titled Saiko Shiro. The manga will debut on the LINE Manga app on December 6.

The manga centers on an app called "SAiKO" that is popular with girls. The app has a female AI that answers questions to the best of its ability, including how to put on makeup and relationship advice. While at first, the users of the app seem to be happy, danger soon comes to them.

Honda launched the manga in Monthly Shōnen Champion on September 6.

Honda launched Hakaijū in Akita Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Champion magazine in 2010, and ended it on June 6. Akita Shoten published the 21st and final compiled volume on July 7. The manga revolves around a high school student who loses consciousness after an earthquake. When he wakes up, his fellow students have been killed by monsters who have suddenly appeared. The series inspired a live-action short in 2012.
