Arina Tanemura Launches New Idolish 7 Manga in December

Tanemura also drew 1-shot in LaLa DX on Tuesday

The official website of Hakusensha's LaLa DX magazine revealed on Tuesday that Arina Tanemura (Full Moon O Sagashite, Phantom Thief Jeanne) will launch a new manga for the Idolish 7 franchise titled Idolish 7 Re:member in the magazine's next issue on December 9. The manga will center on the past of the group Re:vale, the idol group senior to Idolish 7. Tanemura is the project's original character designer.

Tanemura also published an Idolish 7 one-shot manga titled "Idolish 7 - Good Morning, Laughter!" in the magazine's November issue on Tuesday. The manga is based on a short story that Idolish 7 novel writer Bunta Tsushimi posted on Twitter in 2016 titled "Asa no Ryō ni Iru Idolish 7," and depicts the lives of the Idolish 7 members in the dormitory they live in. Idolish 7 Re:member is also based on a novel by Tsushimi, and is the sixth manga entry to adapt the franchise's various novels.

Bandai Namco Online made the Idolish 7 "dramatic rhythm action" iOS and Android game with music in collaboration with Lantis. The player assumes the role of Tsumugi Takanashi, a manager for a new idol group. She must train seven male singers — each with their own individual personalities — to turn them into the No. 1 idols. The game features full voicing of the dialogue by the cast. The game is inspiring a television anime by TROYCA that will premiere in January.

In addition to the television anime, there will also be a spinoff series.

Aside from the upcoming manga, Tanemura also drew the IDOLiSH 7 TRIGGER -before The Radiant Glory- manga with a story by Tsushimi, and the pair launched the Idolish 7 MEZZO: Murasaki Ao no Hekireki in manga Hakusensha's LaLaDX magazine in October 2016. Nokoshi Yamada launched another manga on Hakusensha's "Hana LaLa online" site in July 2015. Tanemura is also drawing the IDOLiSH 7: Ryūsei ni Inoru manga adaptation of Tsushimi's novel of the same name.
