Idolish 7 executive producer Sokichi Shimooka, Infini-T Force producer Kaz Haruna to attend November convention

The staff of the Anime NYC convention announced on Thursday that it will host the United States premiere screening of the first two episodes of the IDOLiSH7 television anime on Saturday, November 18. The anime's director Makoto Bessho (Shangri-La, Armitage: Dual-Matrix) and the Idolish 7 project's executive producer Sokichi Shimooka will attend the premiere.

The convention staff also announced on Wednesday that it will host Infini-T Force producer Kaz Haruna for a panel on Infini-T Force and a signing on Saturday, November 18.

The first two episodes of the Idolish 7 will also get an advance screening in Japan on November 2. The anime will premiere in January.

Bandai Namco Online made the Idolish 7 "dramatic rhythm action" iOS and Android game with music in collaboration with Lantis. The player assumes the role of Tsumugi Takanashi, a manager for a new idol group. She must train seven male singers — each with their own individual personalities — to turn them into the No. 1 idols. The game features full voicing of the dialogue by the cast, and the cast are reprising their roles for the anime.

Anime NYC will host the United States premiere of the Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: Bandit Flower compilation film and a Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt anime music concert led by composer Naruyoshi Kikuchi on November 19. Gundam series producers Shin Sasaki and Masakazu Ogawa will be guests at the convention.

The convention will also screen the United State premiere of the live-action film of Hiromu Arakawa's Fullmetal Alchemist manga, and director Fumihiko Sori will attend the screening. Additionally, Yoko Ishida, Chihiro Yonekura, and TRUE will perform at Anisong World Matsuri's Anime Diva Night concert on November 17. Princess Principal director Masaki Tachibana will be a guest at the event.

The convention will be held at the Javits Center from November 17-19. Crunchyroll is the convention's title sponsor, with Funimation, Viz Media, Kinokuniya Bookstore, Yen Press, Kodansha Comics, Sentai Filmworks, Vertical, Tokyo Otaku Mode, Sunrise, and Aniplex also listed as sponsors.
